Responsibilities
Build backend services and web-APIs from scratch using Python
Design and maintain data models and SQL queries (PostgreSQL)
Develop and maintain API integrations and event-driven workflows
Improve system reliability, monitoring, and error-handling patterns
Collaborate with product and engineering to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Contribute to ETL/ELT workflows and data synchronization pipelines
Work in a cloud-native environment leveraging AWS services
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong Python experience (Django/DRF a plus but not required)
Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience building APIs from scratch (REST, authentication, webhooks, etc.)
Experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, EC2, etc.)
Strong debugging skills and ability to reason about distributed systems
Experience in small SaaS environments or startup‑style engineering teams
Excellent communication skills
Fully remote; US‑based candidates only
Preferred
Experience with Vue.js (light exposure is enough)
Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering workflows
Experience with CAMA systems (bonus only)
