Responsibilities
Apply power engineering and operations research skills to explore innovative options and recommend solutions
Gather and examine complex datasets to understand how markets and grid operations are performing
Build and maintain models and simulation tools to simulate and test electricity market solutions
Collaborate with teams across the organization to tackle challenges and strategically improve the electricity markets
Develop and refine algorithms that help make market and grid operations more efficient and reliable
Clearly document and present findings through reports, charts, and presentations to communicate insights effectively and accurately
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, or electronics and computer engineering technology power systems, operations research, or a related technical field and at least 2 years of experience
One to two years within any of the following: electricity market design, operations, or research and development; electricity market analysis; or system planning and development in an academic and/or professional setting
Preferred
Master's Degree or PhD
Preferred experience that includes quantitative analysis, applying or developing optimization algorithms, and power system modeling and simulation
