Process Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of textile dyeing processes, dyed yarn production systems, and associated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent plant operations
Lead plant-level process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing performance, cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability using structured problem-solving methodologies and disciplined experimental design
Monitor and analyze product and process performance metrics to ensure capability targets are achieved on every production run; provide immediate technical guidance and corrective action when performance falls outside established standards
Provide hands-on technical support to Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and downstream operations to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent process and product-related issues
Manage and document plant-level process and product concerns, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and appropriate follow-up to prevent recurrence
Develop, validate, and transition new product developments and process innovations into scalable, commercially viable manufacturing processes
Create and refine product variants and innovative dyeing solutions based on customer requirements and internal performance standards
Improve underperforming product lines or processes by applying data-driven analysis and continuous improvement techniques to strengthen cost structure, quality, and operational efficiency
Develop and maintain clear manufacturing specifications, technical documentation, and standardized process procedures to support consistent execution by production and quality teams
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Technical Service, Product Development, Marketing, and plant leadership to support customer development initiatives and ensure seamless commercialization of new technologies
Build and maintain strong working relationships with plant production teams, technical staff, vendors, and external partners to stay informed of operational challenges, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
Engage with suppliers, technical experts, and academic partners to remain current on advancements in textile dyeing technology and to support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

Required

A four-year engineering or physical science degree is preferred (with a particular interest in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, textile engineering, textile technology, polymer and color chemistry, or general chemistry). Comparable and extensive experience in textile production, product development, dyes and chemicals, filament fiber production will be considered
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong written & verbal communication skills
