Responsibilities
Support the operation and advancement of the Enterprise Risk Management Program by facilitating enterprise awareness and training of risk-based concepts, policies, and practices
Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge regarding risks throughout the organization
Assist in the planning, development and implementation of operational risk frameworks/measurement methodologies, policies, guidelines, standards and procedures to ensure management of risk
Support the First Line of Defense and Second Line of Defense activities to mature the enterprise risk management program
Execute assigned tasks in all aspects of the Enterprise Risk Management Program that are designed to provide a broad range of risk analysis, reporting, and support to multiple stakeholders
Assess enterprise and business exposures through the identification of key and emerging risks and evaluate alignment with risk strategy and risk appetite to protect from material loss and impact
Facilitate meetings with business units and ERM assessment workshops, partner with and train key stakeholders, and serve as a key contributor on projects that may impact the enterprise or a core operating area
Serve as a risk advisor for internal stakeholders, strategizing and developing effective solutions to mitigate and monitor risks
Serve as a subject matter expert and system administrator of the Governance, Risk, And Compliance (GRC) solution by reviewing and monitoring data input into the (GRC) system for reasonableness and accuracy, helping troubleshoot end-user issues, and designing system workflows
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of related experience
General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree
Advanced analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform risk assessments and facilitate risk discussions
Collaborate effectively with other second lines of defense functions
Strong working knowledge of enterprise risk management theory, tools, and practices
Ability to develop common risk strategies, language, and culture
Ability to promote a consistent level of risk awareness
Strong research skills
Knowledge on Credit Union products, services, and processes
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
Ability to sit for extended time periods
Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
