Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Spring MVC‑based web applications; write clean, testable, and efficient code
Technical Leadership: Lead a team of 3–5 developers; assign work, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards
Database Design: Model relational database schemas; write complex SQL queries; optimize performance
Frontend Collaboration: Work with UI/UX designers and frontend developers to implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
System Integration: Integrate with internal and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
Mentoring: Coach junior and mid‑level developers on Spring MVC, ORM, and database best practices
Client Interaction: Gather requirements, provide technical estimates, and demonstrate completed work to stakeholders
Modernization Planning: Contribute to the roadmap for migrating legacy Spring MVC applications to Spring Boot and microservices
Qualification
Required
Minimum 9 years of professional Java development, with at least 5 years focused on Spring MVC in enterprise environments
Deep expertise in Spring MVC controllers, view technologies (JSP, Thymeleaf), validation, and security
Strong experience with Hibernate, JPA, or iBatis/MyBatis
Advanced SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL); stored procedures, query tuning, indexing
Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/ES6); familiarity with jQuery or vanilla JS
Maven or Gradle
Git
Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven leadership and team collaboration
Pragmatic approach to technical debt and legacy systems
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered
Preferred
Experience with Spring Boot and microservices migration
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) – a plus
Familiarity with DevOps practices (Jenkins, Docker)
Domain experience in logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain
Previous consulting or client-facing roles
