Responsibilities
Ensure reliable operation of the City’s water and wastewater systems by maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical equipment at lift stations, well water pumping stations, and related facilities
Monitor and maintain critical components, including pumps, wet wells, electrical controls, storage tanks, piping, valves, sensors, and SCADA monitoring systems, to support efficient and compliant operations
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance
Respond to operational and maintenance emergencies, including SCADA system alarms and disaster situations, to minimize service disruptions
Support construction, improvement, and modernization of water and wastewater facilities as needed
Perform other related duties to sustain essential public services and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Five (5) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
Level II Wastewater Collections, Class C Ground Water Treatment, or Class C Surface Water Treatment certifications are required within three (3) years of employment
Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Preferred
Journeyman Electrician license
