Start in 2026 SummerAmgen is committed to serving patients and is seeking an Operations Transformation Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will design and pilot a Continuous Improvement tracker and support the development of a project tracker using AI-guided Lean Six Sigma coaching to enhance business performance.

Responsibilities
Design and pilot CI Project Tracker - support the build of CI project intake modeled after existing CI Award program structure
Contribute to pilot testing and feedback ensuring continuous iteration of solution to address evolving business needs
AI-guided enablement - Assist in designing AI prompt logic that coaches users from Define phase through Control phase
Identify network-level CI insights - analyze CI data to surface: active CI projects, cycle times, and bottlenecks that may delay project progress
Leverage AI to enhance, simplify, and accelerate process innovation
Qualification
Required
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study prior to commencing the internship
Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program following the internship
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
Preferred
Degree concentration in Business Administration and Data Science
Experience with AI/ML fundamentals (AI prototyping, prompt engineering, model evaluation, automation workflows, basic ML concepts)
Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel advanced analytics)
