Start in 2026 SummerDCCC is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the United States House of Representatives. The DCCC Internship Program offers an invaluable opportunity to engage with national level campaign style politics, providing insight into the operations of a national political committee while contributing to House Democratic campaigns.
Political Organization
Responsibilities
Perform department specific tasks which may include staffing events, conducting research, making Capitol Hill runs, and assisting with short and long term projects
Assist the Operations team by providing excellent customer service and maintaining shared spaces
Support other departments as needed at the direction of the department supervisor or Operations team
Qualification
Required
Commitment to helping Democrats win the House majority
Must be at least 18 years old on or before the first day of the internship
Ability to relocate to the Washington DC metro area prior to the first day of the program
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
Capacity to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence, including the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work effectively with others who are culturally different
