Syringa Networks is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join their team in Boise, Idaho. The NOC Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving network and managed services issues while providing excellent customer service in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service

Create and manage trouble tickets

Proactively monitor network stability/performance in a 24/7 environment

Triage/escalate carrier and local area network issues and events

Communicate and interact with customers, other carriers, and internal groups as needed to drive trouble resolution

Oversee/support network maintenance activities

Willingness and ability to rotate between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd work shifts

Willing and available to work extended hours as needed

Candidates must be located in the Boise, ID area

This is an onsite position, remote work is not an option

Working knowledge of Information Technology concepts. Core concepts: service provider, networking, troubleshooting and support. Secondary concepts: information security, operating systems, development, database

Working knowledge and experience related to network topology, architecture and hardware

Excellent customer-service skills, professionalism, courtesy

Detail-oriented and process-oriented

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio)

Interest or experience in IT support role/career -or- a network operation center in the telecommunications industry or similar environment

Willingness and ability to rotate between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd work shifts

Willing and available to work extended hours as needed

Preferred

Associate degree (or higher) in a technical discipline preferred

CCNA certification (or equivalent) desired
