ILUS - Systems Engineering Manager
Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is a leading provider of intelligent material handling systems. The Manager of Systems Engineering is responsible for providing leadership to the Systems Engineering team, ensuring the availability, functionality, safety, and integration of systems while managing projects and team performance.

Responsibilities
Directs the System Engineering team, including but not limited to setting department budget, assigning projects to team members, conducting performance reviews, setting department goals, training, mentoring, and coaching department members, and managing direct reports
Develop internal processes to support assigned projects/objectives with System Engineering assigned team
Maintains technical specifications templates needed to achieve safe, positive outcomes, consistent results within the budget constraints
This role and/or assigned team will often engage during late stage of sales phase to ensure proper transition to the Project Execution team
Ensures successful completion of all projects assigned
Participate in the continuous improvement initiatives by providing meaningful feedback regarding products and internal processes
Based on department backlog and staffing constraints, may perform typical project tasks along with managerial duties
Collaborates with other engineering and project stakeholders to ensure full system integration between subsystems and engineering disciplines
Collaborates with other stakeholders to establish coherent /cohesive standards and processes across all engineering disciplines
Collaborate with other engineering and project teams to improve efficiency through implementing new tools and processes
Resolves escalated technical problems; works directly with customers, including leadership, to address issues and improve satisfaction
Travels to job sites as required - up to 20%
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the material handling industry
Experience managing a staff
Experience managing complex projects and resources
Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, manage, coach, influence and train at all levels of the organization
Strong knowledge of Daifuku's technology and its operation structure
Knowledge of budgets and accounting principles
Ability to deal/resolve conflicts and employee issues professionally
Strong presentation skills
Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Office and other tools needed for duties
Strong knowledge of controls systems and software functionality
Ability to interface with internal and external customers, vendors and executive management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
Team-oriented and collaborative
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and advocate new technologies
Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language
