The intern will gain valuable insights into the organization's business and technology by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education, and collaborating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities
Research the department’s data assets to drive awareness of the range of data sources, database content, lineage, and transformation logic
Create and enhance documentation of data sources, data content, lineage, record retention plans, and transformation logic for base measures, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and departmental Key Results metrics
Process and update data in automated systems. May generate and analyze reports
Investigate root cause for behind problems with database updates and/or accuracy
Support periodic audits of data table accuracy and access permission lists
Support updates to authorized user lists
Monitor intakes to ensure the Data Strategy & Solutions unit is aware of and acting on stakeholder requests
Support the department’s data roadmap and strategic planning
Assist and collaborate with Data Stewards, Analysts, and various levels of staff to accomplish tasks and assignments
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
Ability to adapt to new technologies
Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with the following tools desired:
Data warehouse, SQL Server, and/or cloud data architecture, platform management, and quality testing
Data dictionary and standard operating procedure documentation
SQL, Python, and/or R languages
Github management for code management and stored actions
