Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a team of 1099 background investigators working DHS and IC investigations
Ensure investigative work meets all federal standards, protocols, and service delivery expectations
Monitor team performance to include quality, timeliness, and productivity metrics
Collaborate with other Team Leaders to share best practices and maintain program alignment
Report performance trends, risks, and operational issues to leadership
Support training, development, and onboarding of 1099 investigators
Manage team efficiencies, control costs, and contribute to financial performance goals
Maintain strong organizational discipline, communication skills, and writing proficiency
Foster a culture of support, accountability, transparency, and mission‑focused execution

Required

Actively working DHS and IC contracts with a minimum of five (5) years experience on both, preferably have active investigator credentials (DHS and Intel preferred), and must be able to obtain approval by all program customers
Background investigations work experience; leadership experience preferred
Experience with mentoring, coaching, and training investigative staff
Familiarity with daily workflow tracking, timely assignment delivery, and metrics accountability
Must possess an active Top Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience at program discretion
