Responsibilities
Learn about consulting, civil engineering (and specific geotechnical and environmental disciplines), and how to communicate in a professional setting
Learn how to use current technologies including geospatial mapping tools (e.g. GPS) and widely used industry software (e.g. Bluebeam)
Job shadow in a support role, working on interesting and technically challenging projects in the Metro and Greater Boston area
Assist with evaluation of subsurface geotechnical and environmental data
Express a willingness to visit construction sites to assist and/or learn in the field with our field services group
Completion of OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 40 certification
Qualification
Required
Candidate should have a high school diploma and at least one semester of college credits
Candidate should be enrolled in college and majoring in engineering, environmental science, or a related field with an interest in exploring a career in civil or environmental engineering/science
Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work for six consecutive weeks part-time during the Summer 2026
Preferred
Driver's license preferred
Completion of OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 40 certification
