Marketing Intern

Responsibilities

Assist with Coal Supply Agreement processes by helping route agreements for internal approval, tracking progress across stakeholders, and ensuring final documents are properly stored in the electronic contract repository for easy access and compliance
Review documents and enter specific data into spreadsheets to support accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis, helping the team maintain organized and up-to-date records for decision-making purposes
Support reporting efforts by compiling and organizing data into clear, actionable formats that can be used by internal teams to monitor performance and identify trends
Assist with Midwest quality processes by helping ensure materials, documentation, and workflows align with internal standards and contribute to consistent, high-quality outputs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, support project execution, and help maintain alignment across ongoing initiatives
Provide general administrative and project support, including organizing files, coordinating updates, and assisting with day-to-day marketing or operational needs as they arise

Required

Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program of study
Strong communications skills (verbal and written), including the ability to convey ideas, communicate with outside parties and use active listening skills
Experience working in a team environment, including a demonstrated ability to contribute positively toward team goals
Strong organizational skills, including a demonstrated ability to prioritize various projects that may be in process simultaneously
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications (including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint)
Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively in various forms, including email and by phone
Must have the ability to review paper and electronic documents and complete computer entry of data from paper documents
Must be able to find, remove and return files to/from file cabinets and discuss issues
Must be able to operate copier, fax machine, etc

Preferred

Major and/or significant coursework in marketing or other related area preferred
Prior internship experience is a plus
