Responsibilities
Analyze industry macro trends and company financials
Assist in coverage of 10+ stocks under the direction of REIT Senior Analysts
Build and maintain financial models and industry databases
Ensure correct and up-to-date information for research reports distributed to internal/external clients
Work closely with Senior Analysts to write earnings reports, company reports, and monthly/weekly publications
Initiate stock coverage reports and review business and trade publications, annual reports, and financial filings to gather, synthesize, and interpret data
Communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients
Help develop marketing materials for clients, meet with management teams, and attend industry conferences when appropriate
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of related experience, preferably in sell-side/buy-side equity research, investment banking, or real estate valuation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – strong excel skills are critical
Ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail in terms of written work and financial modeling
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize & deliver in a time sensitive environment
Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment
Bachelor's degree with high GPA
Strong academic background in accounting, finance, economics, and/or computer science
Preferred
Strong interest in real estate and technology
Real estate experience a plus
Solid experience in business modeling and financial statement analysis
MBA/CFA/CPA a plus; Securities licensing a plus (Series 7/63 and 86/87)
