Responsibilities

Provide strategic product and engineering leadership across product areas, ensuring alignment with Gno.Lands mission, product goals and brand
Help define engineering standards for correctness, reliability and high assurance execution
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape the product roadmap, define user journeys, and identify new opportunities to improve Gno.lands experience
Elevate our product engineering systems and operational processes to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability
Foster a culture of user-centered thinking, rapid iteration, and cross-team collaboration
Collaborate with product, frontend, backend and design teams to translate product requirements into working features
Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling, tracing and benchmarking tools
Build products that can interface with various blockchain consensus mechanisms such as proof of work, proof of stake, and delegated byzantine fault tolerance
Pre/post-launch ownership
Comfortable in working close to runtime constraints where performance, determinism and resilience are critical
Comfortable working in a lean fast-moving team with minimal supervision
Build and deploy smart contracts using Gno.land
Maintain and optimize existing Smart Contract integrations
Participate in release cycles, upgrades and migration (contracts, API, infra)
Hands on experience with smart contracts development
Design, develop and implement new smart contract features (token launches, vesting, DAO or asset flows depending on the roadmap)
Hands on experience with smart contract and blockchain protocols, execution layers or runtimes
Understanding of security audits and common smart contract vulnerabilities
Engineering Leadership — leading the core protocol team, GnoVM, tooling, Go/Gno development, and owning the technical roadmap pre/post-launch
Cross-Functional Leadership — bridging engineering with marketing, community, and business development
Product Vision & Strategy — retail adoption focus, translating product vision into a compelling value prop, owning the product roadmap end-to-end
Experience designing/working with smart contracts with observability in mind, ensuring proper event (render) emission and state structure for seamless indexing and on-chain data analysis
6+ years of operating distributed systems at scale, ideally at companies where uptime was existential: big tech, HFT, exchanges, or blockchain infrastructure
Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, theoretical concepts, consensus mechanisms and smart contracts
Understanding of wallets, transactions, gas optimization and on chain events
Familiarity with distributed systems, blockchain fundamentals or event driven architecture
Hands-on experience in Open-Source contributions to systems level or blockchain infrastructure projects
Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable codes
Familiarity with cross-chain interoperability standards and integrating off-chain infrastructure (e.g., oracles, custom indexers, and subgraphs) to support product features
High impact Web3 experience
Excellent communication skills in Business English (spoken and written)
Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements
Strong ownership mindset : you build it, you help run it
Product oriented thinking – understands why a feature exists, not just how
Prior experience with launching, token ecosystems and creator platforms
Strong product judgement and strategic thinking with the ability to make product and engineering decisions that balance user needs with business goals
