Responsibilities
Drive projects forward and mentor engineers
Shape the direction of our platform while staying close to the work itself
Work through complex architectural decisions and unblock teammates on backend problems
Participate in cross-functional meetings with product and design teams
Own the technical vision for your domain and align it with business goals
Drive down tech debt and raise the bar on engineering quality across the team
Coach engineers and guide design reviews to build a supportive culture
Influence how GrowthZone builds software at scale and define practices beyond the immediate team
Qualification
Required
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading scrum teams — with a track record of driving delivery, mentoring others, and growing technical scope
Deep proficiency in .NET Core with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and SQL Server, paired with strong working knowledge of AWS or a comparable cloud platform
Frontend fluency in jQuery, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern JavaScript framework, with a solid grasp of design patterns and SOLID principle
Experience leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, copilots, or LLM-based workflows) to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and team velocity, along with the judgment to apply these tools effectively in production environments
Preferred
Experience working with nearshore or offshore development teams
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Node.js, or Redis
Exposure to SPA frameworks and modern caching strategies
Experience shaping team practices around AI-assisted development, including prompt design, evaluation of AI-generated code, and establishing best practices for safe and effective usage
