Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a polished and highly organized Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff to support the Office of the President for a large public-sector organization focused on energy innovation and sustainability initiatives across New York State. This high-profile role works closely with the Chief of Staff to keep the President & CEO prepared, organized, and supported across executive meetings, communications, follow-up items, and priority initiatives.

Responsibilities
Prepare the President & CEO for internal and external meetings, presentations, and events
Support the Chief of Staff with executive office operations, meeting coordination, file management, and request triage
Track deadlines, action items, and follow-ups to ensure timely completion
Draft, edit, and coordinate polished communications for senior-level stakeholders
Help manage responses to inquiries from government offices, board members, oversight entities, and external partners
Support high-priority initiatives across the executive office
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information

Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience supporting senior executives in a high-profile, fast-paced environment

Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and communicate clearly
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and with discretion
Experience handling confidential information

Preferred
Public-sector, government, policy, executive communications, or government affairs experience
Familiarity with clean energy, sustainability, or the New York State energy system
