Responsibilities

Developing new quality sales and conserving existing business
Providing ongoing quality service to policyholders
Creating an atmosphere of quality growth, development, and job satisfaction to all personnel assigned to his/her Staff
Recruiting, selecting, training, retaining, and developing sales personnel
Managing between four and ten field employees assigned to the Staff
Working closely with Home Office employees to ensure that the daily activities of the Staff are adequately supported
Creating, developing, and implementing action plans to ensure profitability of the Staff
Managing numbers, goals, objectives, and activities for results
Observing the Company’s rules and instructions on keeping records and filing reports concerning sales and collections
Supervising the assigned Representatives’ service activities to achieve Company standards
Working with the District Manager to ensure that the Field Office operates within budget
Searching for ways to cut costs to make the Field Office more profitable
Involved in weekly joint field work with the Representatives who report directly to him/her
Setting Staff Objectives and interpreting those Objectives in terms of observable, controllable activities
Identifying sales, service, or business management weaknesses and addressing them through leadership and/or training
Ensuring quality service is provided to policyholders in a professional, timely, and courteous manner
Professionally representing Monumental Life in local industry organizations
Maintaining and enhancing good public relations with policyholders, the community, the industry, and Home Office

Qualification

Life and Health licenseInsurance sales

Required

High school diploma required
Life and Health license required
3 – 5 years' experience in an insurance sales environment required
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives

Preferred

Some college and/or undergraduate degree in a business related field (i.e., management, finance, marketing, business administration, etc.) preferred
Prior management experience in an insurance sales environment preferred
