Postdoc Research Associate (Proteomics/Metaproteomics)

Baylor University is a premier institution of higher education seeking a postdoctoral research associate with expertise in proteomics/metaproteomics. Responsibilities

Develop and execute independent research in phenotype-driven microbiome studies mass spectrometry-based omics experiments
Develop novel metaproteomics experimental and computational approaches
Collaboratively develop novel ideas and methods for applications relevant to internal and externally funded research programs. In addition, the selected candidate will be required to contribute to, and possibly lead, the preparation of reports, papers, posters, presentations, etc
Keep accurate and current records of all results from experiments performed, document methods and processes
Present your research
Provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students
Participate in the proposal writing and submission process
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Required

Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or biological sciences

Teamwork ability

Experience in microbiome sciences
Experience in cell sorting
Experience in pathogen biology
Experience in protein expression
Experience in cell culture
Experience in cell biology
Experience in molecular biology
Experience in functional assays
