Security Technology & Operations Intern
The International Spy Museum is a private nonprofit museum dedicated to educating the public about the world of espionage and intelligence. The Security Intern will support the development of a security dashboard and assist with the creation of a daily activity report while gaining hands-on exposure to security operations in a museum environment.

Responsibilities
Design and structure a SharePoint based security dashboard to host policies, procedures, training materials, and video documentation
Help organize existing security documentation into clear, user-friendly formats suitable for a training portal
Support the development of role-based training content (e.g., officer onboarding, supervisor reference guides, emergency response quick guides)
Participate in basic usability testing and refinement of the dashboard layout and navigation
Assisting the creation and refinement of a Daily Activity Report using Microsoft Access, including form design, data entry workflows, and basic reporting features to support security operations
Assist with project planning tasks such as timelines, task tracking, and documentation for security-related initiatives
Participate in security briefings, drills, or training sessions as appropriate
Observe day-to-day security operations to better understand risk management, situational awareness, and museum-specific security challenges
Gain hands-on exposure to physical security systems, including camera layouts, access control concepts, and monitoring workflows
Participate in documenting camera coverage maps, system diagrams, and technical infrastructure
Opportunities to support ongoing security technology projects, including upgrades, system evaluations, and asset tracking
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing their post-secondary pathway, including undergraduates, graduate students, and persons seeking a professional certificate or an associate degree
Interested in security, cybersecurity fundamentals, information systems, criminal justice, emergency management, or related fields
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, including site design, page layouts, or content management
Familiarity with Microsoft Access, including databases, forms, and queries
Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated
Professional and approaches challenges with a positive attitude
An effective communicator who enjoys working in a team environment but can also easily tackle independent projects

The International Spy Museum offers academic credit for this internship. The Museum will work with the intern to complete all necessary forms to receive credit, but the intern is responsible for making all appropriate arrangements with their school.
