Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain advanced iOS applications and shared SDK components using Swift
Build scalable and reliable mobile experiences focused on streaming and video playback performance
Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and backend teams to deliver new features and enhancements
Architect reusable frameworks and modular components that support multiple mobile applications
Optimize application startup times, playback quality, responsiveness, and overall performance
Integrate APIs, analytics platforms, authentication services, and third-party SDKs
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to networking, playback, and application stability
Participate in technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and sprint planning activities
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern iOS engineering best practices
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and release management processes
Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and collaborative problem-solving
Stay current with emerging iOS technologies, development trends, and media platform innovations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional iOS software development experience
Strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS development frameworks
Experience building and supporting large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications
Deep understanding of iOS application lifecycle, memory management, and concurrency
Experience with video playback technologies and streaming media platforms
Familiarity with AVFoundation and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS)
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server integrations
Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices
Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred
Experience developing reusable SDKs or platform-level mobile frameworks
Familiarity with DRM technologies and secure media delivery
Experience with analytics, monitoring, and observability tools
Knowledge of video compression, adaptive bitrate streaming, or playback optimization
Experience working within large enterprise or high-traffic consumer environments
Exposure to cloud-native technologies and distributed backend ecosystems
Passion for building polished, high-quality customer experiences
