Physical Scientist
GxPeople Global is seeking a Physical Characterization Scientist to oversee and perform advanced physical characterization assessments of innovative inhalation products. The role focuses on ensuring robust scientific evaluation of product performance characteristics and contributing to documentation required for regulatory compliance and submissions.
Responsibilities
Oversee and conduct physical characterization testing of products, including third-party materials where applicable
Perform aerosol characterization, including droplet and particle size distribution analysis
Conduct thermal profiling of products and systems
Develop and continuously improve non-clinical evaluation methodologies and workflows
Support efficient and scientifically rigorous execution of non-clinical programs
Prepare and contribute to physical characterization documentation for regulatory submissions
Ensure alignment with current and emerging global regulatory requirements
Maintain scientific rigor and traceability in all technical documentation and outputs
Ensure assessment methods align with current scientific consensus and industry-accepted best practices
Integrate methodologies used across regulated consumer product and analytical science industries
Support standardization and continuous improvement of testing procedures
Coordinate and commission external laboratory assessments as part of non-clinical programs
Liaise with contract research organizations and analytical testing partners
Support study design, execution planning, and data interpretation activities
Represent the organization in external scientific and industry forums, including conferences and technical working groups
Monitor relevant scientific and competitive developments in the inhalation product space
Contribute to the development of technical and scientific positions
Qualification
Required
Aerosol characterization methodologies
Particle size distribution analysis (experimental and/or modeling approaches)
Thermal profiling techniques
Laboratory and computational testing strategies
Experience working in regulated product development environments
Strong scientific and regulatory documentation skills
Degree or PhD in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline
Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in physical characterization or related analytical science roles
Preferred
Emerging analytical and characterization technologies
Experience in reduced-risk or next-generation inhalation product development
Background in respiratory delivery systems or related fields
Experience with advanced analytical instrumentation
Prior exposure to complex consumer product regulatory environments
