Responsibilities

Biotech and pharmaceutical public equity coverage and research of both commercial and development stage drug candidates

Conduct rigorous scientific, clinical, statistical, manufacturing, patent, regulatory due diligence - quickly distilling what information may impact investment thesis

Generate investment recommendations: thesis, risk-reward, supporting evidence, and catalysts

Build and maintain therapeutic class, disease area, regulatory precedents databases

Drive valuation conclusions through revenue builds, financial models, comp sheets

Continually refine thesis and research processes

Communicate effectively research and new developments in a timely manner

Qualification

Biotechnology sector experiencePharmaceutical sector experienceClinical data interpretationScientific data interpretationInvestment analysisFinancial modelingValuationDrive for results

Required

5+ years in the biotechnology/ pharmaceutical sector either in clinical, scientific, financial services, or industry capacity

2+ years of experience as a buyside investment analyst covering biotech/ pharmaceuticals

Proven ability to interpret clinical and scientific data and translating findings into investment implications and recommendations

Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical abilities

Preferred

Experience with private investments and derivatives

Experience with advanced data analysis/ coding/ modeling

Advanced degree (Doctorate/ Masters)
