Senior Wireless Engineer - Infrastructure Networks _ Division of Information Systems

Responsibilities

Design networks with Cisco 8500(s) high capacity WLAN controllers, 4400's, 5500's, WISM's and Various Cisco AP's over multiple (local) locations
Design, deploy, and implement Cisco wireless and network solutions including WLCs, APs, Prime, CMX, and MSE
Installation of wireless voice technologies including Cisco 3800 series and / or Vocera Communication Systems
Perform wireless site surveys, spectrum analysis technologies, recommend / implement corrective action, conduct site evaluations and generate Heat Maps utilizing Ekahau Survey Pro
Configuration of Wireless Security Platforms, including intrusion prevention and clean access solutions
Perform network related tasks, including configuration of Cisco ISR routers, switches (3750, 3850, 6800 and Nexus 5K,7K,9K), ASA5500 series Firewalls, Cisco ISE, Radius, QOS
Provide detailed network drawings and diagrams and relation as-built documentation
Optimize existing network by adjusting radio network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to reported problems

Required

High school diploma and three (3) years experience in network planning, wiring, designing networks, troubleshooting, and technical support
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) must obtain post-hire within twelve (12) months
WAN/ LAN WLAN projects- remotes sites - project lead; knowledge Cisco Wireless LAN Configuration for Enterprise and Outdoor environments; thorough understanding of 802.11 based wireless architecture; Cisco partner experience
Experience with WLCs, APs, Prime, CMX, and MSE; strong working knowledge installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco Router/Switch and Wireless LAN Hardware products; must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels; excellent customer interface, oral communications, and technical writing skills; Cisco knowledge with network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of routers, hubs, switches, Controllers, Access points, and cabling in a large enterprise LAN/WAN /WLAN environment; knowledge of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, MPLS, IPVPN, ACLs, QOS, TCP/IP, IPX

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred
