They are seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer of Supply Chain & Procurement - Buyer to manage procurement processes and vendor relationships for water treatment systems.

Responsibilities
Promptly purchase all commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems
Copies data and compiles records and reports
Operated computer terminal to input and retrieve data
Purchases supplies
Data entry of all purchase orders
Assisting other departments when it is required
Review requisitions
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Receive and contact vendors to find out the status of an order
Contact vendors with discrepancies in quantity and quality
I interfaced with all departments and resolved problems and issues with needed purchase items
Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
Traveling when needed to meet project requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Preferred
Two (2) years of experience is preferred
One (1) year of experience with SAP is preferred
Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is preferred
Prior purchasing experience with international vendors is desired
Working knowledge of SAP
