Senior LevelXHawk.ai is building the infrastructure for companies to create their own Software Factories. As a Founding Software Engineer, you will work with the early team to architect and build the core engine of XHawk, focusing on high-performance data layers and integration with external data sources.

Responsibilities
Build the "Brain" and "Hands": Architect and implement the intelligence and control plane that powers the XHAwk system
Scale the Data Layer: Build high-performance context stores that can ingest, index, and reason over massive amounts of data
Connect to 100s of external sources of data: Help build a new Extract, Interpret, and Store stack
Qualification
Required
Polyglot & Versatile: You are comfortable moving between languages (Python, Go and Typescript) and cloud stacks. You pick the right tool for the job
AI-Native Builder: You have hands-on experience building with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenCode, Hermes, Gemini, etc) and understand the challenges of context windows and agentic loops
Experience with Open Source Software
Systems Thinker: You understand how to build 'headless' platforms and APIs that other developers love to use
Massive Scale: You understand what it takes to build systems that can run across 100's of nodes and handle millions of API calls every day
High Ownership: You thrive in an early-stage, zero-to-one environment. You don't wait for a ticket; you see a problem and solve it
Preferred
You are comfortable working on 10s of tasks in parallel using OpenCode, Claude or Codex
Familiarity with lexical search, vector embeddings, graphs, and query systems
Previous experience in a fast pace startup
You are comfortable building systems that can span clouds and geographies
