Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
Develop, maintain, and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Perform functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, accessibility, and compliance testing
Prioritize test scenarios based on business impact, risk, and release schedules
Execute tests to validate system functionality, performance, and usability
Design, prepare, and maintain test data to support testing activities
Review test results and evaluate software against business and technical requirements
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning, sprint demos, and retrospectives
Learn program mission objectives, business processes, and system architecture to support effective testing
Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and JUnit
Expand automation coverage by converting manual regression tests into automated scripts
Analyze automation results, investigate failures, and work with developers to resolve issues
Contribute to the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the automation framework
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and expand automation coverage
Support future integration of automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Document, track, and retest defects in Jira
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure resolution
Participate in defect triage and support prioritization efforts
Communicate testing results, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders
Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and other testers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Perform Section 508 accessibility testing using tools such as Axe Monitor and JAWS
Validate compliance with accessibility standards and document findings
Collaborate with development teams to resolve accessibility issues and improve user experience
Support testing to ensure compliance with applicable federal and DoD requirements
Contribute to testing standards, methodologies, and process improvement initiatives
Help create and maintain testing documentation, user testing guides, and test artifacts
Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance software quality, testing effectiveness, and team efficiency
Work independently while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional Agile team
Qualification
Required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Public Trust clearance or higher
At least five years of software quality assurance and testing experience
Experience with manual functional, automation, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Selenium WebDriver automated test scripts
Proficiency in Java and JUnit
Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements and user stories
Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management
Experience testing web applications
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
Preferred
Experience with GitLab and CI/CD practices
Experience supporting automation initiatives and enhancing test frameworks
Experience with API testing tools and methodologies
Experience with Section 508 accessibility testing
Experience using accessibility testing tools such as Axe Monitor and JAWS
Familiarity with SAFe Agile practices
Experience supporting DoD, DLA, or other federal government programs
Knowledge of security testing and secure software development practices
