Aquatics Workforce Intern

Responsibilities
Attend all scheduled program days, trainings, and workshops, actively engaging in activities and discussions
Arrive on time and be prepared for all scheduled activities, bringing necessary materials and equipment
Participate fully in all meetings, trainings, and fieldwork, contributing to a collaborative and supportive learning environment
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct when interacting with participants, peers, supervisors, and community members
Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions with staff, participants, and program activities
Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with staff, participants, parents, and volunteers
Demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example, taking initiative, and supporting team members in program activities
Promote YMCA programs by staying informed about offerings and encouraging community engagement
Follow program guidelines and YMCA policies, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment by following safety protocols and reporting concerns to supervisors
Qualification
Required
Must successfully complete a background screening, including criminal and employment verification
Must be able to swim, perform water rescues, and demonstrate lifeguarding techniques as needed
Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Must be able to reach, bend, and kneel
Must communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with staff, participants, parents, and volunteers
Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct when interacting with participants, peers, supervisors, and community members
