Responsibilities
Build and improve a high‑performance desktop application across macOS and Windows
Own OS‑level behavior: windowing, lifecycle, permissions, notifications, background processes, installers, updates, and system events
Build native modules and system‑level integrations where Electron is not enough
Work across Electron, native code, IPC, background agents, and frontend architecture
Optimize for CPU, memory, battery, startup time, latency, and stability
Develop logic for user activity detection, app state detection, and desktop context awareness
Support lightweight local AI models running on‑device with strong attention to performance
Improve product polish where desktop behavior directly shapes the user experience
Qualification
Required
Strong experience building production desktop software on macOS and/or Windows
Deep understanding of desktop application architecture and OS‑level behavior
Experience with native development in Swift, Objective‑C, C++, Rust, C#, Win32, or similar
Strong understanding of process architecture, IPC, memory, CPU usage, permissions, windowing, background services, installers, and auto‑updates
Experience with Electron, especially native modules, IPC, OS integrations, and performance optimization
Ability to move between low‑level implementation details and high‑quality product experience
Strong engineering judgment, ownership, and problem‑solving ability
Preferred
React experience is helpful, but not the core requirement
Strong UI taste and product sensibility are a plus
