Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive strategic plan to support the growth and development of SGS consultant services in NAM for Pharmaceutical and its supply chains sector
Define and execute the roadmap to convert strategy into action with key milestones to drive business expansion
Participate in marketing-led exercises to demonstrate thought leadership and market penetration
Provide Technical Support to sales team, assisting with proposal writing and sales presentation and marketing team
Assist VP in the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for pharmaceutical sector
Determine the resource requirements (technical, commercial, and operational) to grow the business. Support the recruitment of consultants/ experts to support the growth
Ensure the technical operation and resources are equipped the delivery against key milestones and in accordance to customer KPIs and expectations
Work closely with the Global team to translate global initiatives in the NAM market
Identify skill gaps and lead the training and mentoring of existing resource to upskill and support the recruitment of new technical or supporting resource
Expand the service offering beyond consultant Services and seek opportunities to broaden the Business Enhancement capability into key areas such as Performance Assessments, Supply Chain Risk Management, Training
Maintain competence and consultant credentials for agreed schemes by taking additional and/or refresher course(s), as necessary
Partners with the Sales and Marketing teams to define and implement go-to-market strategies, SWOT analysis, competition, market segmentation and to help to develop a robust project pipeline across multiple market segments.  Provide technical advice to sales, marketing, operations, and management as required
Coordinate with the Key Account Specialists (KAS’s) and other operational functions to ensure projects are scheduled in a timely manner, and a high level of customer service is provided to the clients to expand the business
Perform consultant services as needed
Observation/witness consultants as a part of SGS continuous qualification process
Ensure the consultants/experts adheres to SGS global/local Procedures and closely follows specific procedures in line with internal and scheme owner requirements
Support and respond to client inquiries on all technical matters regarding pharmaceutical consultants, helping to identify root causes and solutions
Development of the systems, process, and procedures to effectively deliver the service.  Proactively identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies
Collaborate closely with the other business sectors and functional areas Directors to ensure an effective management of resources: client base, technical resources, and reputation in the marketplace to aggressively grow the business
Establish a winning collaborative culture that embraces change, risk taking, and innovative thinking
Maintain and develop knowledge and understanding of certification services, standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Management, Operations or related discipline
10+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Testing, Inspection, Certification)
3-5 years of supervisory experience
Frequent travel required (34%-66%)
