Responsibilities
Review mechanical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs
Support mechanical design development for high-density data center environments
Evaluate mechanical design options for air-cooled and liquid-cooled data center architectures
Coordinate closely with electrical design, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders
Review designs for maintainability, operational resilience, capacity, and alignment with Nebius standards
Help assess technical tradeoffs, alternative solutions, product options, and design risks
Support design reviews tied to power density, airflow, cooling capacity, and operational readiness
Qualification
Required
Data center mechanical design experience
Strong understanding of mechanical systems in mission-critical or data center environments
Experience with air-cooled data center design
Ability to evaluate mechanical capacity, flows, and design assumptions
Ability to review design documents, technical proposals, and partner deliverables
Ability to read and interpret contracts, design requirements, and technical standards
Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders, external design partners, and construction teams
Broad engineering ownership mindset; able to manage the full mechanical design scope rather than only a narrow specialty
Preferred
Experience with liquid-cooled data center technologies
Experience with hyperscale, neocloud, GPU, or AI infrastructure data centers
Experience at companies such as Lambda, CoreWeave, hyperscalers, colocation providers, or mission-critical engineering firms
Familiarity with high-density rack environments, including 50kW to 200kW per rack
Experience supporting design reviews through commissioning or operational turnover
