Responsibilities
Establish and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, and operating procedures
Define and manage metadata management processes, business glossaries, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
Implement and oversee data stewardship workflows and governance operating models
Develop and enforce data quality standards, controls, and monitoring processes
Lead integration and adoption of the enterprise data catalog and metadata repository
Establish data lineage and traceability practices across enterprise data assets
Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data ownership, accountability, and governance responsibilities
Support policy development, compliance monitoring, and governance reporting
Facilitate governance councils, stakeholder workshops, and data stewardship forums
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management initiatives
Hands-on experience with enterprise Data Governance and Data Catalog solutions
Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
Experience defining business glossaries, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), and stewardship processes
Knowledge of data governance policies, standards, controls, and compliance practices
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
Experience with healthcare, Medicaid, public health, or government data environments
Experience implementing enterprise data catalog and governance platforms
Knowledge of master data management, reference data management, and information lifecycle governance
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures
Experience supporting enterprise analytics and data modernization initiatives
