Assistant Professor of Data Analytics
The University of Richmond is inviting applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Data Analytics. The role involves teaching data analytics courses, developing curriculum, and engaging in scholarly activities to support the program's growth and the success of adult learners.

Responsibilities
Teach five courses per year across both undergraduate and graduate data analytics curricula, including courses in data literacy, visualization, statistical analysis, and related areas
Develop and update curriculum in response to industry trends and student needs
Maintain active scholarly engagement in data analytics that informs teaching and supports curriculum development
Collaborate with adjunct faculty to ensure instructional quality and consistency
Participate in program assessment and accreditation activities
Support student recruitment through occasional program representation at events
Serve on School and University committees
Carry out other functions as may be appropriate to the position
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. or DBA in data analytics, data science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, operations research, or a closely related field is required by the time of appointment
Preferred
Ability to teach across data analytics and information systems, particularly in a higher education setting and with experience teaching adult and continuing learners
Industry experience in data analytics or related field
Online or hybrid teaching and course development
Curriculum development and program assessment
Ability to contribute to other SPCS disciplines as program needs evolve
