Responsibilities
Analyze and integrate large-scale healthcare datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims, membership, provider, and utilization data
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and SAS queries for recurring and ad hoc analyses
Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and performance reports for clinical, quality, and operational leadership
Perform trend analysis, root cause investigations, and performance monitoring related to medication adherence, pharmacy quality measures, utilization, and care management initiatives
Identify performance gaps, cost drivers, and opportunities for operational and clinical improvement
Present analytical findings through clear, executive-level reporting and data storytelling
Support ad hoc analytics projects and business initiatives as needed
Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders to improve data integration, reporting, and analytics processes
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other applicable regulatory reporting requirements
Support initiatives related to value-based care, quality programs, and accreditation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience using SQL and SAS in a production environment
3–4+ years of Tableau dashboard development, including dashboard design, visualization, and data storytelling
3–4+ years of healthcare analytics experience
Direct experience working with pharmacy claims data and pharmacy analytics
Experience within a health plan or managed care environment
Hands-on experience with medication adherence and pharmacy quality measures (e.g., PDC, MPR, CMS Star Ratings)
Experience supporting value-based care analytics and quality improvement initiatives
Proven ability to work with large, complex healthcare datasets
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Python for data analysis or automation
Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
