Responsibilities

Design and execute hypothesis-driven mechanistic in vitro studies to investigate toxicity findings
Development and optimization of in-house in vitro models to support RNAi platform and novel ligand candidate derisking. Working with external vendors on technology and assay evaluation, where appropriate, also expected
Assess and implement new technologies to support/improve compound toxicity prediction & screening. Preference toward high-throughput or genomics platforms
Collaborate closely with discovery scientists, toxicologists, and pathologists to deconvolute toxicology issues and ensure strategic investigative alignment for candidate selection
Communicate study rationale, results, and recommendations through high-quality reports, presentations, and cross-functional meetings
Maintain high standards of scientific rigor, data integrity

Required

Ph.D. degree in Immunology, Molecular Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field
Demonstrated knowledge in designing and conducting in vitro mechanistic studies
Technical proficiency in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques
Must be a highly motivated and organized individual with team orientated mentality and enjoy working in fast-paced and collaborative environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

1-3 years relevant experience in academia or industry is preferred
Experience with microphysiological systems (i.e. organ-on-chip, organoids, or iPSC models) is desired
Experience with high-content imaging and/or flow cytometry preferred
Experience with modalities such as small molecules and biologics preferred
