Research Lab Technician I
The University of Southern California is seeking a Research Lab Technician I for Dr. Karolina Charaziak's lab focused on auditory physiology and neuroscience. The role involves hands-on animal research, including direct mouse handling and surgical procedures, as well as conducting in vivo electrophysiological recordings.

Responsibilities
Mouse colony care, handling, and health monitoring
Performing surgical procedures and terminal experiments
Conducting in vivo electrophysiological recordings and acoustical measurements
Supporting optical imaging data collection
Placing and tracking lab supply orders
Maintaining lab records, protocols, and regulatory documentation
General lab organization and upkeep
Qualification
Required
High-school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated hands-on experience working with mice (please describe your specific experience in your application)
Comfort with the full scope of animal research, including surgical procedures and euthanasia
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred
Associate's degree in Neuroscience / Biology / Cell Biology / Biomedical Sciences / Animal Science / Laboratory Animal Science / Physiology
Specialized/technical training in Veterinary Technology / Laboratory Animal Science
Experience with electrophysiological recordings
Familiarity with data analyses techniques (e.g., use of MATLAB)
Prior experience in a neuroscience or audiology research environment
