Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law pertaining to advertising and FDA/FTC regulatory compliance
Support the Regulatory Attorney in reviewing marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional campaigns for compliance with legal requirements
Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to promote awareness and adherence to regulatory requirements
Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company’s operations, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders
Draft legal memoranda, reports, and correspondence to provide insights and recommendations on compliance matters
Assist in maintaining corporate records, entity databases, and governance documents
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives across both regulatory and commercial workstreams
Assist attorneys and staff with ad-hoc research, project-based work, and help organize and maintain the department’s shared resources and document repositories

Required

Current Law Student; college degree required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams
Competent in interpreting statutes and regulations to assess their applicability and impact on specific legal issues, particularly in advertising and health and wellness
Basic understanding of contract structure, common legal terms, negotiation principles, and corporate governance concepts
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Proficiency with technology tools including Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, AI technology, and contract management systems for efficient document management and research
Research and writing proficiency consistent with law school training

Prior experience in a corporate or legal environment
