Managing Director– M&A Advisory
Chapman Associates is one of the nation's longest-standing lower and middle-market M&A advisory firms, having advised business owners, buyers, and investors for more than 70 years. The Managing Director will originate and lead buy-side and sell-side engagements, serving as the primary advisor throughout the transaction lifecycle from engagement through closing.

Responsibilities
Originate and develop client relationships that lead to new transaction engagements
Advise business owners and buyers on transaction strategy, valuation considerations, timing, and overall positioning
Gather, analyze, and interpret financial, operational, and market information
Develop marketing materials, financial narratives, and overall go-to-market strategy
Conduct confidential buyer and seller discussions, management meetings, and transaction-related negotiations
Coordinate due diligence, financial review, data flow, and transaction timelines between all parties
Structure and negotiate transaction terms in coordination with clients and counterparties
Work directly with attorneys, accountants, lenders, and other third-party advisors throughout the transaction process
Oversee purchase agreement, closing, and transition coordination activities
Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and process control throughout each engagement
Qualification
Required
Proven deal professional with the experience and judgment to originate, lead, and close transactions independently
Ability to originate and develop client relationships that lead to new transaction engagements
Ability to advise business owners and buyers on transaction strategy, valuation considerations, timing, and overall positioning
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret financial, operational, and market information
Ability to develop marketing materials, financial narratives, and overall go-to-market strategy
Ability to conduct confidential buyer and seller discussions, management meetings, and transaction-related negotiations
Ability to coordinate due diligence, financial review, data flow, and transaction timelines between all parties
Ability to structure and negotiate transaction terms in coordination with clients and counterparties
Ability to work directly with attorneys, accountants, lenders, and other third-party advisors throughout the transaction process
Ability to oversee purchase agreement, closing, and transition coordination activities
Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and process control throughout each engagement
Comfortable operating in a commission-only structure and managing a long-term pipeline
Preferred
Experienced M&A advisors, investment bankers, or business brokers
Seasoned executives who have led or been heavily involved in multiple acquisitions, divestitures, or ownership transitions
Highly entrepreneurial professionals with multiple exits and a strong understanding of transaction dynamics
Individuals with the network, credibility, and initiative to originate opportunities and see them through closing
