Senior Civil Project Manager - Land Development

Core States Group is an architecture, engineering, and construction firm serving national multisite programs and projects across several markets. The Senior Civil Project Manager will manage civil engineering and land development projects from conception through completion, overseeing design, permitting, budgets, schedules, client relationships, coordination, and team development.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously, while ensuring that timelines are met and communicated
Serve as the lead point of contact for clients
Manage the financial performance for projects including profit and efficiency evaluations and managing accounts receivable
Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants
Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters
Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation
Solve design problems using engineering calculations and following general design standards
Coordinate with internal disciplines and external project team
Manage, develop, and mentor Project Engineers and Designers
Follow QA/QC practices and procedures while continuing to look for opportunities for improvement of quality and efficiency
Responsible for fostering continued client relationships and looking for avenues of growth with those clients
Participate in new client pursuits
Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction
Able to provide risk assessment on projects, estimate potential risks along with costs and probabilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
10+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, hospitality, and/or fueling
MS Office Required
Experience working in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency
Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product

Preferred

P.E. would be a plus, but not required
