Responsibilities

Develop and execute a business plan for an assigned territory, customer segment, or strategic market
Identify prospective customers and generate opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, conferences, partners, procurement portals, contract vehicles, and industry relationships
Build relationships with chiefs, sheriffs, command staff, prosecutors, public defenders, investigators, evidence managers, records personnel, CIOs, CISOs, procurement officials, and agency executives
Create a qualified pipeline sufficient to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Develop strategic account plans, stakeholder maps, competitive strategies, and procurement roadmaps
Maintain complete and accurate opportunity, activity, forecast, and customer information in the company’s CRM
Conduct discovery sessions to understand each agency’s operational, investigative, legal, security, and technology requirements
Evaluate customer needs involving evidence sources, case volumes, integrations, redaction, disclosure, retention, public-records requests, security, deployment, and interagency collaboration
Translate customer requirements into appropriate business and technical solutions
Develop business cases based on faster investigations, reduced evidence-review time, lower redaction costs, improved disclosure, stronger security, and better collaboration
Present solutions to executive, operational, technical, legal, security, and procurement stakeholders
Coordinate product demonstrations, executive briefings, workshops, pilot projects, and proof-of-concept evaluations
Manage the full sales process from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, award, and contract execution
Establish clear qualification criteria, opportunity strategies, decision processes, competitive positioning, and close plans
Coordinate internal resources from solution consulting, product management, engineering, security, legal, finance, marketing, and professional services
Prepare proposals, pricing, statements of work, presentations, and executive communications
Lead or support responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, invitations to bid, cooperative contracts, and sole-source opportunities
Navigate government procurement, grant funding, appropriations, budget cycles, contract vehicles, council approvals, and agency purchasing requirements
Negotiate commercial terms while protecting company revenue, margin, delivery commitments, and contractual interests
Maintain accurate forecasts and communicate opportunity risks, dependencies, and next steps
Develop relationships with RMS, CAD, body-camera, evidence-collection, cloud, systems-integration, cybersecurity, and government-contracting partners
Generate direct and partner-sourced opportunities
Represent VIDIZMO at public-safety conferences, association meetings, customer events, and industry forums
Monitor competitors, purchasing trends, grants, legislation, customer priorities, and public-safety technology developments
Work with marketing to develop campaigns, webinars, account-based outreach, customer stories, and market-specific content
Provide structured feedback concerning customer requirements, competitive gaps, pricing, partnerships, and product direction

Required

Five or more years of successful experience in enterprise software, SaaS, government technology, or public-safety technology sales
Demonstrated experience selling to law enforcement, justice agencies, or federal, state, county, and municipal government organizations
Proven ability to generate new pipeline and develop accounts through direct prospecting
Successful history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Experience managing complex and lengthy government sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
Understanding of public-sector budgeting, procurement, contracting, and competitive solicitation processes
Ability to communicate effectively with agency executives, law-enforcement professionals, attorneys, investigators, IT leaders, security personnel, and procurement officials
Strong discovery, presentation, proposal-development, negotiation, and closing skills
Experience using CRM platforms for pipeline management and forecasting
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams and external partners
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, demonstrations, conferences, and partner activities
Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

Established relationships within law enforcement, prosecution, public defense, courts, corrections, or federal public-safety agencies
Experience selling digital evidence management, body-camera, RMS, CAD, redaction, video management, investigation, cybersecurity, cloud, or AI solutions
Familiarity with evidence handling, chain of custody, discovery, disclosure, FOIA, public records, retention, and digital-evidence workflows
Working knowledge of the FBI CJIS Security Policy and related public-sector security requirements
Experience with government contract vehicles, cooperative purchasing programs, resellers, distributors, and systems integrators
Experience selling on-premises, private-cloud, dedicated-cloud, SaaS, or air-gapped solutions
Bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline
