Responsibilities

Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and platform services

Administer and optimize Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments

Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Implement and enforce infrastructure and data security controls, access management, and governance standards

Monitor platform health, performance, availability, and security using cloud monitoring and alerting tools

Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, patching, upgrades, and scaling activities

Troubleshoot infrastructure, database, deployment, access, and performance issues

Collaborate with application, data, security, and business teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions

Required

Experience managing Azure Commercial Cloud infrastructure

Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines, including deployment, administration, and troubleshooting

Experience creating, configuring, monitoring, and supporting Azure SQL Database environments

SQL Server administration and database support experience

Experience supporting Snowflake, including schemas, roles, warehouses, and access management

Knowledge of Azure Linked Services configuration and troubleshooting

Experience with infrastructure security, including networking, firewall rules, private endpoints, service principals, managed identities, and Key Vault

Experience implementing role-based access controls and user access management

Knowledge of database backup, recovery, restore, and disaster recovery processes

Experience monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure and database performance

Hands-on DevOps experience supporting software deployments and release processes

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Proficiency with GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud, database, security, and deployment environments

Preferred

Experience with Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning

Knowledge of Azure data governance, cataloging, and data lineage solutions

Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, or Python

Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or ETL platforms

Experience supporting web applications, APIs, and backend services

Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
