Import Specialist – Automotive Parts (International Sourcing)
Automotive Parts Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Import Specialist to lead their import operations. The role involves direct communication with global factories, managing the import cycle, negotiating pricing, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Responsibilities
Communicate directly with Global factories and suppliers via Messaging app, email, and calls
Source engines, transmissions, and other automotive components
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and shipping arrangements
Manage the entire import cycle, including: • Supplier vetting and factory selection • Production follow-up and quality confirmation • Sea freight booking and coordination • Customs clearance and documentation • Tracking and follow-up until delivery
Prepare, review, and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, and compliance documents
Track real-time shipment status and resolve delays proactively
Establish long-term, reliable supplier relationships
Coordinate with APS team to plan imports, timelines, and product needs
Maintain quality standards and address any issues directly with suppliers
Qualification
Required
Proven experience importing engines or major auto parts from International suppliers
Direct experience working with factories outside the US(not U.S. brokers or resellers)
Capability to negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and quality requirements
Hands-on experience managing ocean freight shipments
Working knowledge of customs procedures and compliance rules
Ability to read and inspect international documents for accuracy
Strong communication skills and responsiveness
Highly organized and able to manage multiple suppliers and shipments at once
Preferred
Mandarin/Chinese speaking or conversational ability
Experience using WeChat for supplier communication
Background importing engines
Experience working with suppliers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America, or other manufacturing regions
