Solar Technician 2 Travel Position

Here to Serve Renewables is a renewable energy services company seeking a Solar Technician 2 for a full-time travel position. The role performs inspection, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of photovoltaic systems, inverters, and related equipment while mentoring team members and maintaining safety and operational standards.
Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes and replace/repair string lines
Perform Permit LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures
Lead by example in maintaining safety protocols and operating with professionalism
Troubleshoot solar system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
Operate your HTS motor vehicle safely and legally per the HTS Employee Handbook and insurance requirements
Maintain HTS company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, functional

Required

2+ years' experience on commercial and/or utility scale solar sites
Experience with electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures and able to apply NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training, QEW Certified
Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment
Able to test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical electrical inspections
Proficient with Microsoft office
Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards
Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)
Work possible rotating shifts (100% travel is required for this position)
Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses
Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors
