DevSecOps Engineer
Blu Omega delivers technology and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies and enterprise clients. The DevSecOps Engineer will design, provision, configure, and support secure AWS cloud environments for mission-critical federal systems, while automating infrastructure, integrating CI/CD pipelines, supporting testing environments, and collaborating with technical teams.

Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery and requirements sessions with product teams, QA, release management, infrastructure, security, and cloud engineering stakeholders to define environment and testing needs
Design, provision, configure, and support AWS infrastructure, including accounts, compute resources, VPCs, network connectivity, and supporting cloud services
Evaluate AWS account structures and infrastructure configurations for development, testing, pre-production, and production environments
Support RHEL-based server infrastructure and troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, connectivity, and configuration issues
Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools
Integrate cloud environments with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable technologies
Support environments for automated regression and performance testing, ensuring scalability based on application needs
Define test data requirements, including datasets, security restrictions, refresh cadence, and ownership
Inventory application interfaces and external connections, determining appropriate connectivity methods for live or stubbed testing environments
Support cloud database environments such as PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS, and evaluate data and infrastructure dependencies
Plan, document, and maintain technical architecture, environment configuration, and implementation details
Ensure solutions adhere to federal security, infrastructure, change, and release management standards
Troubleshoot and validate infrastructure configurations, deployments, and environment setup
Collaborate with federal clients and technical teams to support mission-critical operations
Qualification
Required
2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 4+ years with an associate's degree; or 6+ years with a high school diploma
Hands-on experience designing, provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure
Support for RHEL-based environments
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices with tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and translate requirements into technical solutions
Strong troubleshooting, configuration, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
Preferred
Experience supporting Salesforce environments or sandboxes
Experience supporting federal or VA technology environments
Familiarity with PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS
Support for automated testing environments
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and version-controlled documentation
Knowledge of federal cloud security and governance practices
