Responsibilities

Perform repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key components of aircrafts.
Conduct necessary checks on mechanical and functional components of aircrafts.
Test and replace defective or faulty parts using a variety of tools and equipment.
Ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the workshop or hanger.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge in airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
An Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments
Ability to speak, read and write in English
Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Experience using tooling and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts A detailed knowledge of aircraft specific tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required
Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
Must have own tools in good working order
Tools will need to be shadowed and inventoried in toolbox
Must be able to pass an occupational physical that includes a hearing and vision test
To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred

FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Experience on wide body aircraft, including but not limited to, Boeing 767, 777, and 747
Proficient in basic computer operation
