Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Federal, State, County, and internal regulations and policies related to billing. Including 245G and federal billing requirements.
Complete scheduled claims processing.
Ensure data is in compliance by completion of internal processes that identify billing issues prior to completing the claims process.
Ongoing follow up on outstanding claims
Timely appeal of denied claims
Notification to providers and leadership regarding denials to assess for corrective action.
Timely payment processing and accurate entry to final disposition of revenue lines in the Electronic Health Record.
Follow up on Private Pay outstanding balances and processing to collection agency as defined by internal policies.
Answer incoming phone calls related to billing and insurance.
Timely response to internal and external customers
Verify client demographic information at each encounter with the client.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of insurance, insurance regulations, deductibles, copayments and provider eligibility.
Enter accurate insurance information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Develop and maintain knowledge of HIPAA and compliance standards.
Create and maintain a safe and positive environment that is supportive of those seeking behavioral health services.
Basic office housekeeping related duties as applicable to work location.
Adhere to Lakeview Behavioral Health policy and procedures

Required
Must live in the state of Minnesota
Have work experience in administrative or medical office settings.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study
