Responsibilities
Gather necessary insurance information and accurately input data into the computer system for claim submissions
Conduct insurance verification, including ICD 10 or HCPC code selection and prior authorization
Determine medical necessity and handle referrals and workers compensation authorizations
Communicate with patients regarding service coverage and pre-service collections
Work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant healthcare experience
Experience in a healthcare or health plan setting, particularly in pre-service authorizations, referrals, or financial counseling
Knowledge of referral and authorization processes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Experience in medical terminology is beneficial
Preferred
Healthcare experience within patient care, registration, scheduling, pre-certifications/prior authorizations, and collections
