Responsibilities
Review and analyze: Examine existing website content, social media posts, and children's book illustrations to identify images that lack or require improved alt text.
Develop and implement: Create high-quality, concise, and informative alt text that accurately describes the visual content and its purpose.
Adhere to accessibility guidelines: Ensure all alt text complies with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant accessibility standards.
Collaborate with team members: Work closely with various team members to understand their content needs and ensure smooth integration of alt text.
Stay informed: Research and stay updated on best practices for creating accessible digital content.
Contribute to internal knowledge base: Document processes and best practices for future reference.

Required
Strong willingness to understand accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
Willingness to learn and/or develop excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for accessibility and inclusion.
Preferred
Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
Experience with image description tools is a plus.
