Responsibilities
Responsible for all provider/partner activities including those within AARP Services and the organization. Manages the day-to-day provider relationship and activities to ensure success of the product/program.
Ensures program growth including revenue, member value and product enhancement opportunities through annual account plan development.
Manages the ongoing quality control of programs and assures compliance with all contract terms including review process of the program and provider/partner, oversight of marketing plans, product operational plans, and product enhancement.
Manages or participates in provider contract renegotiations in the portfolio for the products/programs offered to the organization’s members.
Influences matrix to optimize program functions, including strategic account planning and growth.
Works with the providers on the development of a continuous improvement process for all program and product categories.
Collaborates with the leadership to set strategic direction for the program and program development
Completes periodic competitive assessments of program or products in order to monitor relative value within the marketplace and identifies the features and competitive advantages versus the competition.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
3+ years of experience in account management, business development, or a similar role.
Proven track record of managing and growing multiple accounts in different sectors. Strong desire to learn new sectors.
Demonstrated ability to achieve growth targets and drive business development initiatives.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets enabling proactive solution-driven approach and recommendations that impact the business.
Excellent presentation skills, especially to executive management.
Ability to build productive business relationships and work effectively with multiple levels and disciplines within a matrix organization as well as with program providers. Must be proactive, solutions and growth driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Ability to travel up to 15% may be required.

Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions.
In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.
